Our bank satisfaction survey results announced

!50 imageIn this year's addition of moneyhelpline's bank survey we asked you again for your opinion about your bank - their customer service, online offering and branch experience. We received over 1,250 responses and the results are now in.

Again on top of the table we see challenger banks which offer incentives for switching, cashback, high interest rates, or all of them, and the big 4 – Lloyds, Barclays, HSBC and Royal Bank of Scotland are at the bottom.

Total responses: 1253
The table does not incude the results for Chelsea BS, Cater Allen, Virgin, Tesco Bank, Reliance Bank, QST, Nottingham Credit Union, Norwich & Peterborough BS, Metro Bank, Citibank, Coutts, Handelsbanken as we received less than 5 responses.

First Direct has taken the lead, with Nationwide and Santander in a close second and third place. The best banks for customer service are First Direct, Clydesdale and TSB, while the online banking of Nationwide, Santander and RBS received the top scores. For branch experience Clydesdale, TSB and First Direct have come out on top.

What our customers value the most in their banks is the ease of using the online and mobile banking systems (36.15%), while customer service is a close second with 27.53%.

We also asked you what could make you switch your bank account to a different provider and it turned out that an attractive interest rate (39.46%) and a switching incentive (31.5%) would attract you the most to leave.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our survey! The lucky winner of a £50 M&S voucher is Andrew McKendrick. Congratulations and we'll be in touch shortly.
