Bidding Agreement for Partners working with Fundraising Innovations Ltd.


1. Search Engine Marketing & Pay-Per-Click


a)    For affiliates using search engine marketing such as Google Adwords, Miva MSN and Yahoo, please note that partners may run PPC campaigns; however these must be via home pages or landing pages that are significantly different from the energyhelpline.com home pages and landing pages.

b)    Partners cannot use Fundraising Innovations Ltd URLs as the display URLs in PPC ads eg. energyhelpline.com, moneyhelpline.com.

c)    We will not allow you to bid against our brand names energyhelpline, firsthelpline, greenhelpline or variations thereof. We also do not accept bidding against branded supplier names and our competitors’ brand names.

d)    Affiliates must not use energyhelpline.com, firsthelpline.com, switchandgive.com, energyhelpline, firsthelpline, switchandgive. In addition, the Agent must comply with both of the following:
1.    negatively match the terms below in all their PPC campaigns, and
2.    not bid on the terms below:

The Agent needs to negatively match because if they do not, and they bid on the broad term ‘gas’ for example, then even if they do not bid on British Gas their ad will still show as they have bid on the broad term ‘gas’.

Before any PPC campaign goes live the partner must confirm in writing that they have complied with this instruction.

We have brought in this agreement to preserve our supplier relationships and our non-compete agreements with competitors.

e)    There are non-compete keywords on which publishers are prohibited from outranking the advertiser in their search marketing campaigns:-

and variations thereof

2. Social media – Special instructions for social media platforms, eg. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube

a)    Affiliates must not use energyhelpline, energy_helpline or any variation of these as your username. Do not name squat on suppliers or competitors. Do not use our logo as your own.

b)    We are happy for you to have your own profile promoting our service and linking to our site under your own agent code.

3. Email marketing legislation

For email marketing we expect you to abide by the new UK legislation regarding email marketing which requires customer to opt into a mailing list.

4. Selling practices

Please note that all applicants must complete the form themselves. Affiliates may not use other marketing formats such as, but not limited to, telemarketing or face to face canvassing. For the avoidance of doubt this includes assisted switching in a shop or on their doorstep.

5. Misuse of terms

Misuse of these terms will result in your switches being frozen and you being removed from the program immediately.
